Santiago Folding Arm Awning

Folding arm awning are a unique way to create shade and extend your outdoor living area without the need for frames,beams and posts, leaving the area beneath the awning totally free from obstructions. The Santiago Folding Arm Awning offers instant shade for ground floor windows, balconies, patios, decks and terraces. Santiago folding arms extend the awning horizontally up to three to four meters, there are two types: full cassette FAA, and open FAA.

Full Cassette Folding Arm Awning

COMPONENTS:

① Frame: Engineered in heavy duty electrostatically powder coated Aluminum and Steel, the Santiago frame is designed to withstand Australia’s harsh environmental conditions and currently only available in white.

② Folding Arm: The retractable arm is equipped with a coated steel cable within the center joint. The folding arms are the strongest sections in the awning system and can take a moderate wind force before needing to be retracted.

③ Folding Arm Shoulder: Inclination angle or pitch can be adjusted by operating the bolt in the folding arm shoulder.

④ Top Tube: Aluminium top tube

⑤ Front Bar: The front bar is tightly connected to the arms by 2 wrists made from aluminum die-casting. It can sustain the fabric tension as well as keep the balance of whole awning frame up to a wind force of 5kph. An integrated gutter in the front bar leads rain water cover to the side.

⑥ Operational Control: Extending or retracting the Santiago is through use of a 1600mm crank handle or motorization (Cassette only)

⑦ Installation: Outdoor wall brackets or rafter brackets are required to securely mount the Santiago Folding Arm System, as with all outdoor awning products.

⑥ Operational Control: Being an entry level folding arm system, it is designed for ease of use and to be competitively priced.

⑦ Installation: Outdoor wall brackets or rafter brackets are required to securely mount the Santiago Folding Arm System, as with all outdoor awning products.

Fabrics

VALENCIA ACRYLIC RANGE

The Valencia fabric range is 100% acrylic, solution dyed. Solution dyed means the fabric is woven from strands of dyed acrylic. The advantage of solution-dyed acrylics is their excellent fade resistance and toughness.

Being a light filtering fabric allows a soft diffused light into the room with a high reduction in glare. The fabric is sourced from Barcelona in Spain which is renowned for producing quality textiles. The Valencia fabric is water repellent due to the Fluorocarbon finish.

A Fluorocarbon finish is superior to any wax or silicone based solutions. A water droplet on a fluorocarbon fabric illustrates the high performance that can be achieved.

Customer Maintenance

1. Always close the awning in windy conditions, heavy rain and when you are not using it.

2. The gear box is the most used component in the awning, so it needs to be checked and oil may need to be added every three months.

3. When cleaning the fabric follow the fabric manufacturer’s recommended cleaning methods

4. If the awning is left out in the rain, then retract it and at earliest convenience project out to dry the fabric.

5. Do not place a BBQ or fire near or under the awning.

6. Check the awning every three months to ensure all fixings are tightened and no damage to the product.

7. Do not use the awning if it needs repair. Contact a qualified person for repairing。
