Introduction of Monte Carlo Fixed Guide Awning

Fixed Guide Awnings are ideal for second storey windows or high windows that are just out of reach. Being very similar to a RIO Sunblind, they provide a high level of privacy and sun protection.

The spring assembly allows the awning to roll back up with very little effort, whilst rolling the awning down is a simple pull down on the bottom rail or rope cord if operating for a high window.

Fixed Guide Awnings can be used wherever an Automatic RIO Sunblind would be used to continue the look for two storey homes.

The awning hood is available in a range of colours to allow for design integration with the exterior of your home and also assists in the protection of the fabric from the weather when not in use.

FABRICS

Available in Acrylic, Canvas or woven mesh. See Automatic RIO Sunblind for more details on fabrics

ACRYLIC

It's the best fabric choice when buying an awning. 100% solution dyed acrylic fibre means the fabric and colour will outperform other methods such as yarn dyeing or fabric dyeing. Acrylic fabrics can be used for all awnings.

CANVAS

Woven from 50/50 polyester and cotton yarns, then protected with a high quality acrylic coating, Canvas fabrics have been specially designed to totally block out sun, wind and rain whilst offering lasting colour vibrancy.

In addition to offering high-level protection against UV light and water degradation, abrasion, mould and mildew, the Somerton Canvas fabrics surpass Building Council of Australia standards for early fire hazards.

WOVEN MESH

Woven Mesh fabrics lets light in yet keeps out the sun’s harsh rays. Unlike conventional awning fabrics, woven mesh’s unique design allows you to see through from the inside and enjoy the view whilst filtering out the sun’s damaging rays and keeping the interior cool.

COMPONENTS

1. Hooding and Hood ends are made from mild steel with a powdercoat finish. Available in Dark Grey and Beige. Coloured Rivets used for Hooding.

2. Top roller tube is 63mm diameter zinc plated steel tube.

3. 63mm Spring is standard in all Automatic RIO Awnings.

4. Guide Rails are zinc plated steel with the option to use Stainless Steel for coastal areas. Guide rail bottom cap supplied as standard.

5. Fixed Guide Runners are Zinc Plated Steel arms with Brass rollers.

6. Bottom rail is mild steel with a powdercoat finish and available in same colours as hooding.

7. Pull down ring is supplied if required by the customer. Pull down Ring is zinc plated steel and is silver in colour.

8. L Brackets available in 150mm or 300mm. Zinc plated steel and silver in colour.

9. U Bracket is available. Zinc plated steel and silver in colour.

NOTE: When using Stainless Steel components, stainless steel screws must be used.
