How To Measure (Basic Install)

WIDTH: Window opening size plus a minimum of 150mm each side.

DROP: Top of fixing point to bottom of window.

As a general rule, the Hooding and/or valance should be clear of the window when looking out through the window. In most cases mounting up to the eave or 3 bricks above the window will achieve this.


Important Note:

When measuring the width, it is important to ensure the fixing points are going into brick or into the meat of the brick. If the fixing point is in the mortar it will not hold for the long term or if the fixing point is close to the edge of a brick the risk of blowing the brick is increased. In some instances it may be best to take the awning further than the 150mm to achieve this.
