How to Measure Café Awnings

The paris café awnings can be measured in either FACE FIX or RECESS FIX Position. It is important to determine this first and then which type of head rail will be used.

When measuring in a face fix position the sail track and head rail will be installed as per the below diagrams.

FACE FIX

The Paris Café Awnings can have either a 40x25 steel head rail or a Sail Track head rail.

Width: Outside of post to outside of post neat. Take three width measurements and use the shortest.

Drop: Top of Beam to floor neat. Take three drop measurements and use the longest. REMEMBER, WHEN ORDERING A VALANCE, THE VALANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE DROP MEASUREMENT. IF NO VALANCE THEN DEDUCT 150MM TO ALLOW FOR STRAPS ETC.

Important Notes:

1. The overall width includes the sail track.

2. The overall drop is from the top of the Head Rail to the bottom of the valance.

3. On longer drops a second rope cleat may be required to loop/tie off all the rope when the blind is rolled up.

4. Paris Café awnings are best with a valance as this will reduce the chance of rain or wind getting in under the blind.

5. If no Valance then deduct 150mm off the drop measurement.Customer to be advised of the gap and must be clearly written on the paperwork.
